Hadi Rahnaward: ‘Fragile Balance’ (2023) rug sculpture created with matches

their-we-go:

A three frame digital comic. The first shows a total solar eclipse haloed in white light against a purple sky. The next frame shows a smiling young butch looking upwards in wonder. The last frame shows four silhouetted figures sitting on camping chairs in the foreground. In the background, another circle of people is standing. Everyone's head is tilted skyward. Broken up by the three frames is the text: "And all the world went dark. And we looked up, all of us. And it was so beautiful."ALT

little thing about seeing the eclipse with my family and some kind strangers

Posting only the art I made inspired by this question on tumblr! Hope you like it!

I made this sketch for an idea I had a long time ago exploring the idea of the famous myth that sharks “smell a drop of blood in 2 million liters of water” and become uncontrollably frenzy.

This scene depicts a distant event in the past history of my shark civilization.🦈✨
